Pours a hazy golden orange/amber color with pale golden orange hues when held to a light source and a one finger off-white head that quickly settles into a thin lasting ring. Slightly earthy aroma with hints of toasty nutty malt, autumnal spice and earthy hops. Thin watered down mouthfeel with a lot of spicy notes up front, mostly clove, cinnamon and brown sugar. Slight vanilla presence with lots of toasty malt, roasted nut and caramel malt. Crisp dry hops lasts throughout and are prominent in the dry earthy finish. I mean earthy is the most literal sense, as in tasting like soil. Kind of bland but easy drinking.

Bottle. Just a faint hiss of carbonation upon opening. Pours a bright orange color with minimal carbonation. Flavor is sweet malts, bready and slightly chewy, a hint of nuttiness. Finish has a definite German hops profile, with that slightly metallic bitter hint. Light bodied and clean finish. Simple yet well done. Reminds me of the German Oktoberfest beers.

Average Marzen. Standard light amber color with some caramel and toffee. Small quickly dissipating head. A little watery and thin in texture.

Aroma is light, malty. Pours a clear brown, medium head. Flavor has a broad, tasty malt profile: nuts, tea, toffee. Turns dry, slightly tart and puckering, on the finish.

Sampled from bottle: Pours a beautifully dark yet clear illuminating copper colour with a finger sized white head. Aroma is slightly nutty, slightly malty with soft caramel undertones. Taste is creamy on the palate with hints of milk chocolate, mint and pepper.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear amber with a white head. Not much in the nose, touch of candied malt and faded hops. Lemons, toffee malts with a touch of those earthy hops coming out in the finish. The earthiness is strange with the flavors and the body is overly watery. Ok, but nothing I’ll ever choose to drink again.
