Commercial Description:
This smooth, creamy stout and a crackling fireplace are the perfect answer to a wintry evening in Wisconsin. The rich coffee flavor compliments the "warm, fuzzy feeling" you get from the abundant alcohol. Seasonal Nov. - April.

12 ounce bottle- pours a dark tar colour with frothy mocha head. Nose- powdered chocolate, burnt coffee, molasses. Taste - creamy roast, some vegetable quality, dark fruit and dark chocolate. Carbonation is low/moderate- good for style. Hop bitterness on the finish. Quite drinkable. Not too bad.

Very nice beer! One of the best Imperial Stouts I’ve had. Not too sweet, great body and flavor. Poured with a nice tan head and lots of lace. Aroma is rich, toasty, malty, and old leather. Flavor is similar with addition of cocoa, coffee, not too sweet like some other Imperial Stouts. Great body and carbonation. Ditto the finish. Could be a session for slow, easy drinking.

Pours a deep brown color with a moderate beige head. Aroma consists of oatmeal, roasted malt, coffee and milk chocolate notes. Taste is a dominated by the bitter coffee and sweeter oatmeal tastes. On a smaller scale, the bitter roasted malt and the sweeter chocolate balance eachother. Very drinkable, not overwhelming imperial stout.

Bottle thanks to drseamus (BA)!
Dark brown with a soapy cream head. Nose has a great balance of chocolate, licorice, and mango. Fruity flavor, like a strawberry smoothie, also chocolate, bitter roast, and strong licorice. The oddly creamy finish, coupled with the roast, doesn’t go well with the thin body and fruit, and whats left behind is odd. As it warms, the roast notes go very green and rather unpleasantly astringent. Some interesting elements, but not a great mixture.

BOTTLE: very deep amber pour, off-white head, looks a little thin on the pour. Big nose of cocoa and coffee beans. Medium body, taste is very roasty, somewhat creamy, moderate carbonation, and some hop bite. Pretty aggressive taste, especially late.

Mark this as a highly underrated stout. Perfect for a sit down by the fire, late game or snowy night. A little in the sweeter side for a stout but the best I have tried out of Central Waters.

This stout pours the color of the bottle and is equally translucent. Aroma of dark malt cocoa and smoke. Flavor is quite sweet with molasses, caramel, and roasted coffee. Fairly thin for the style. Meh.

Watery stout. Quickly dissipating head. Dark brown black color. Coffee and dark chocolate in the flavor. More smoke flavor than most imperials. Kind a flat carbonation with a oily texture.

Bottle poured a clear dark brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of bitter chocolate, pepper, dark fruit, light roastiness, light vanilla and light coconut. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a warming finish. Flavors of dark chocolate, roastiness, vanilla, dark fruit and light coconut with a smooth warming lingering roasty finish.
