JohnnyOS (610), Golden, Wisconsin, USA Jan 20, 2008 Pours light amber with copper highlights. Minimal head. Aroma of sweet malts and hops. Flavor of grain and hops... faint sweetness on finish. The_Enemy (383), Chicago, USA Oct 26, 2007 On tap. Pours a clear, light copper with fairly persistent white head that soon falls back. Bits of lace rim the inside as one drinks. Aroma gives up dryish grain with a touch of malt sweetness and a crisp hop bitter. Flavor is slightly nutty up front with dry grain and moderate, crisp clean hop fighting for the next flavor burst. (Both win.) Follows up with a slight sweetness and finishes dry with a medium body. This is a solid Vienna. Skyview (2777), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Aug 21, 2007 On draught at the brewpub in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Pours a clear, copper-penny amber brew with a fast dissolving white head that leaves behind a ring and little lacing. Aroma of light caramel malt, some flowery hops and a slight apple vinegar. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated with flavors or caramel malt, some slight citrus bitterness and an apple vinegar in the background. Finish is gritty, slightly sour with a mild bitterness. With the viengar apple flavor I wonder if this was infected.
