Commercial Description:
Costa Ricans have been enjoying this beer since 1924. Imperial is created from a balanced formula combining malts, grains and hops, without a pronounced overtone in its taste. It is what is known as a “centralized” beer. Adapted to a warm and spring-like climate, Imperial is Florida’s most popular and widely accepted beer, both nationally and internationally, and has thus become the favorite beer of Costa Rica.

A very light yellow beer with a white head. The aroma is an unpleasant grassy one with some metal notes - and so is the flavor, leading to a dry metallic end. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a pale pilsener golden with a creamy, white head. Light aroma of corn. Medium body, notes of brewing cereal and a light tartness. Tiny wee bitterness in the finish. A very typical New World Pale Lager. 210606

Rather light, with a slight grainy note. It is probably one of the most well-made of the mainstream Central American lagers, and wouldn’t disappoint most beer drinkers. Though it is kind of flavourless for my money, you could do much worse.
