Poured out a dark clear mahogany beer with a good sized thick tan head that has great retention and produces slippery ropy lacing. The aroma is dry and a bit weak with grains and burnt sugar and toasted malts. The taste is along the same lines minus the grains - really malty with a some caramel. The mouthfeel is really good - smooth, good light carbonation and a low powered burnt and bitter finish. I need more. This stuff goes down very good. Papsoe (15109), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Enjoy it using Boats black and listening a"John mellencamp" album. BeerIndustry98 (14), , California, USA

A decent head emerges when poured. Has a slight nutty aroma. It has a thin body and a flat watery mouth feel. Notes of hazelnut and semi sweet syrup comes abound. Easily drinkable like a dark lager should be with a quick vanishing finish. Better than my expectations. presario (3010), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 27, 2008 Clear bottle in World of Beer pack. Lasting foam on dark copper. Although dark I can still watch the TV through the glass. Light malt and cookie comes through. Almost a mix between a dark lager and a Mexican clear lager. Some nice chocolate biscuit and light toffee flavours. Maria (6336), Thisted, Denmark
