marcus (1053), Sacramento, California, USA Jun 27, 2008 This clear yellow beer poured with a modest white head and a skunky rotten beer aroma. Tastes like polluted water with a few hops added. Don’t bother with this one even if you are desperate for a beer.
rkuhnel (1139), Eureka, California, USA Jul 9, 2008 Now this is a great example of bad. I have been looking at this in the cooler at the local store here for a while, and after noticing marcus and bhensonb rated it I decided to give it a try. Yellow, no head, and a very odd aroma. Flavor is off as well. Water tastes better. Not sure why I do this when there are some many wonderful beers to drink,. but then it makes you appreciate more how wonderful the craft brew industry has treated us. bhensonb (3010), Woodland, California, USA Jun 21, 2008 Bottle from BevMo. A little skunk from the opening. Gold color with virtually no head. Typical grainy aroma with a small amount of grassy hop; no skunkiness at this point. Thin to medium body with sort of chewy carbonation. Flavor is grainy with a very light bitter finish. Actually one of the better lights, although a burnt rubber note crops up. shendrix (460), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Apr 19, 2008 The best thing I can say about this stuff is that it’s not actually actively offensive. It tastes a bit like tap water with a slightly tart tang to it, and just the smallest bit of hoppy bitterness. Overall, though, this brew is to be avoided. JPDIPSO (4286), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Mar 12, 2008 Pale straw yellow color with a moderate, fluffy, dissipating white head. Grainy, husky aromas. Hint of stale dry herbs and touch of Murphy’s oil soap. Chalky, husky grain flavors. Reminds me of corn dust during harvesting. Dry, light and fizzy. A very light beer with a touch of quinine.
