Cest What Hazelnut Coffee Porter

On nitro tap at C’est What?. Pours a clear black with a thin to medium sized beige head. Very intense aroma redolent with dark roast coffee. Tastes like coffee, only a bit thicker, with some light roast highlights and a big bitterness. Finishes with long roast bitterness. This would be even better if it wasn’t on a nitro tap.

draft at c’est what in toronto. jet black with nitrogen head, the aroma is smoky and coffee. it has caramel flavor that is fruity and creamy.

Draft at CW. Ruby tinged black body with thick creamy mocha head. Aroma of moch and cold coffee, moderate malt. Very muted hazelnut in aroma. Sweet, nutty coffee-mocha flavour, notes of hazelnut and chocolate round out the bitterness of the cofee and roast malts nicely. Average but quite smooth palate. This is quite tasty, and I much prefer this to the regular version since I am not a coffee lover. I expect I would enjoy this even more if I was.

Draught at C’est What. Ruby-brown with a medium sized creamy tan head. Aroma is fantastic, like hazelnut coffee laced with some bittersweet cocoa - yum! Mouthfeel is soft and creamy, thanks to the nitro. Flavour of fresh roasted coffee, sweet toasted nuts, and chocolate milk - a little mellower than the aroma suggests, but still very nice.

Draught. Dark brown with lighter edges and a creamy yellow head. The aroma is great - nice hazelnut, vanilla, chocolate, and maple. The flavour is roast and chocolate oriented with toffee and nut flavour - though not as prominent as in the aroma. It thins out to some extent in the finish.

On tap. Coffee flavour and aroma but I found it a bit weakish compared to the millstreet coffee porter, which i enjoyed more.

Tap. Dark brown with smallish creamy top. Light acidic, nutty, creamy coffee aroma well described by beer name. Chocolate front, soft medium, creamy coffee at end. Nutty character around. Think Tim Horton’s.

Rich roasted coffee aroma, and dark chocolate, deep brown, with a tiny tan head, wee bit of lace. Full dark chocolate flavour, lots of coffee too. Creamy smooth, very bitter, quite a pleasant offering. Really well done!
