Commercial Description:
The pumpkin is back! This time reincarnated as a dark ale with a touch of roast and a warming alcohol content.

2009 version on draught at the brewpub. A dark amber color with a lasting tan head and lace. Big nutmeg aroma. Medium-bodied, with a "solid" mouthfeel, and pumpkin pie flavors throughout. For the "style", not overdone. Very drinkable and paired well with the chestnut bread pudding at the Halloween Beer Dinner.

Smells like a solution of dishsoap. Tastes of light spice in an ESB. I only got very fleeting pumpkin, not much flour. These are damn hard to make and I applaud the effort.

Very dark rusty brown body with a velvety, receding tan head. Nicely blended array of spices with good pumpkin character and semisweet chocolate in the nose. Flavor is like a medium sweet, chocolatey porter with less apparent pumpkin and subdued spices, although they do build in the finish. Nice quality of dried dark cherries and plums. Some alcohol heat emerges as the beer warms. An interesting and novel pumpkin beer.

Draught. Pours coppery mahagony with a rocky tan head and spotty lacing. Fragrant nutmeg, cinnamon and clove aromas with pumpkin malt notes. Pumpkin sour malt flavor with nutmeg and heavy clove notes. Medium bodied and dry palate.
