Aroma is a bit sweet, malty, with maybe some hops also, but nothing spectacular. The flavor is sweet, malty, really plain. Nothing more than that, a really uneventful beer.

| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Dec 21, 2009 Fluorescent urine colour. Slightly cardboardy, slightly appley aroma. Watery, but there’s a faint hop accent. Quick finish. boomerbrew (52), Texas, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 19, 2009 Bottle - World Market. Some spicy hop aroma. Appearance is gold with lacing bubbles. White head when poured but hardly any head after that. I had just finished a Czechvar prior to drinking this, and initial I didn’t or couldn’t tell the difference. But when it comes to flavor, in comparison it just doesn’t have as much hop flavor as Cz-var. Very similar but at least Chang doesn’t have the strong after taste. Overall not bad. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Dec 19, 2009 bottle shared at a Thai joint. Not too bad some malt in the taste and a nice bit of carbonation. Went well with the food. Probably would get again if at a Thai restaurant with no other options Beershine (2754), Traipsing Around, Cambodia
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 19, 2009 Pale yellow with white head. Aroma is floral. Weak palate but not too sticky. Dry peppery finish is good. One of the better swills, esp. one of the better Asian ones. ChainGangGuy (2616), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 15, 2009 330ml bottle - $1.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia. Best Before: June 08, 2010.
Appearance: Pours a clear, standard yellow body with a large, suds-tacular, white head.
Smell: A lightly sweetish malt character reaches the nose alongside a herbal, vegetal note with some grainy aspects quickly replacing the sweet hints.
Taste: Lightly sweet-tasting, simple grainy malts in the fore. There’s a slight vegetal tone that courses through the brew, but, while not particularly welcome, it is mercifully faint. Incredibly light hop character and bitterness. Crisp, drying finish with that damned vegetal hint sticking around into the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Glad to have met it, though this is definitely a one-and-done deal for me. While it is by no means great, Thailand could certainly do much worse for their "Number 1 Beer". beer4eternity (40), New Zealand
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 6, 2009 330ml bottle. @ Thai restaurant in Tauranga. Clear sparkling light gold straw hue, white foamy fully diminishing head, no lacing. Aromas of cereal, bread, honey, rice with fragrant spice (jasmine especially), hay and grassy hops. Initially moderately sweet followed by long bitter finish. Fairly light body, thin texture, fizzy carbonation. Nice with my Thai meal, wouldn’t have it again though unless at a Thai restaurant. puboflyons (622), New Hampshire, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Dec 4, 2009 From the 11.15 fl. oz. bottle dated 09SEP09. The pour is orange-yellow with a thin white head and busy carbonation that bubbles during the entire cycle. Bready and malty aroma. Thin but creamy mouthfeel. The taste has a little sweet maltiness to it but kind of grassy too. Not much in the way of hops that I noticed. Easy to pound down though.
