Pours deep orange with a small, creamy, white head. Sweet fruity aroma, some apricot, but also lots of marzipan. Light mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, light tart fruitiness. Not very good. mgermani (865), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Apr 17, 2008 Purchased at Foremost Sunset Corners. 12 oz capped and corked bottle. Extremely unique aroma. Not the best smell. Smells of Grey Poupon mustard, grandma’s attic, and the oak from an old decaying outhouse. Pours deep rich golden color. Apricot juice... really? Was the juice from the apricot pit?? Flavor is quite syrupy and sweet. Overall you get past that frightening smell. It is quite a change from the norm... Candi coated fruit juice. | 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Apr 13, 2008 Appearance: Pours a clear, orange body with, well, okay... so there’s no head. Who says a beer had to have one anyhow?
Smell: Displeasing aroma of spoiled vegetables, mustard seed, and cheap, rotting wood. Any apricot to be found here seems fake at best, and it’s not worth subjecting yourself to the rest of the aroma to find it.
Taste: Sweetish, apricot juice flavor is fleeting, as a funkiness that can only be described as trash can juice creeps in and never lets go.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Mild carbonation.
Drinkability: No thanks times a million! Grab a Cantillon, get yourself a 3 Fonteinen, but do steer clear of this mess. vyvvy (2068), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Mar 21, 2008 Wow, usually if a lambic is sweetened I’ll rate it as a fruit beer ~ whichever way will give it the highest points I go with. This beer horribly failed on both ways of rating. Pours orange with a sudsy beige head. The aroma is very veggie and comes across like a putrid mix of apricots and celery. I don’t like celery in anything really and in beer its revolting. Medium body that is a bit cloying with minor carbonation. The taste is better than the aroma with very sweet apricots, some spice and a bit of tartness. The finish has syrupy fruitiness like in canned fruit. As the beer warms that horrible veggie aspect starts coming back. Mediocre if looked at as a fruit beer, terrible if looked at as a lambic. Not very good and certainly not worth the high price tag.
