Mar 12, 2009 Consumed at Zythos, St Niklaas, Belgium, 08-03-09 This came courtesy of Ian and Mes who were on a Brouwerij De Troch tasting mission, cheers lads. Pours clear lemony yellow with a white head. Aroma is of sour green unripe bananas (so thats a good start) But there was just a hint of sacchrinne in the background, in fairness this wasn’t really intruding too much. Sweet and yet a bit tangy and big banana from the off, touch sticky. Not my favourite but not as bad as I was expecting. A5 A4 F4 P3 OV08 2.4

Feb 16, 2009 Bottle. Aroma all banana. Poured hazed golden, no head. Flavor was all banana and strangely no tartness. Overall nothing spectacular but I can’t fault it either since I’m no lambic expert.

Feb 6, 2009 Clear gold pour without much head. Strong aroma of banana with some apple. Flavor is strong banana with an apple cider finish. Light body and very sweet.

Feb 1, 2009 12oz bottle from Countryside Liquors (Tampa, FL). Pours a generally clear apple juice colored golden yellow with no head. Aroma is sour and malty with notes of apple cider vinegar, yeast, bread, some slight banana notes. Flavor is sweet and syrupy with notes of apples and apple cider, overripe bananas, fresh ripe fruit, some yeast. Generally light to medium body with a syrupy sweet finish.

Jan 31, 2009 Golden color with a small head. Banana infused smell. Large bubbles in the head. Very sweet, hardly any tartness which is not right for a lambic.

Jan 19, 2009 Updated: Jan 20, 2009$5.99 per bottle at Whole Foods Supermarket. Extrememly sour, unpleasant, more of an apple taste. Banana only exists in the smell. Lots of fizz and head for a Lambic add to the presentation. I think I am done with Chapeau.

Jan 7, 2009 Slightly cloudy gold brew with a small brief white head. Small amount of sediment floating and mixing with the carbonation bubbles. Aroma is yeasty and funky with some fruit including banana. Flavor is very sweet and fruity.and has "chick drink" written all over it. This is a beer that could go into the intro to craft beer category. At the risk of my masculinity, I like it.
