Pours a lighter amber-yellow color with a white head. Aroma is pretty strong of bananas with hints of wild yeast and a little funk. Flavor starts of sweet with sugar and bananas right away. Slightly sour finish with yeast and some funkiness. Definitely a strange and interesting beer.

hazy yellow body, nice white head, moderate lacing. aroma: bananas!! with a hint of malt. frizzy sour flavor with huge banana hits and a suggestion of spice. light bodied with a sour dry finish. not unpleasant, but not very palatable, either. does the name mean ’banana hat’? my french is a little rusty. thanks to cornfield for providing this sample.

Bottle. Pours golden yellow, headless. Aroma is heavy in the banana spectrum. Strange to taste a beer that is flavoured with banana, rather than holding indirects hints of banana. I appreciate that this tastes in many ways like real fruit, and not sugared flavouring. Genuinely strange.

Bottle from Edelweiss in Portland, OR--Poured a golden pale body with a big frothy white head. Big banana nose. Flavor was too sweet for the banana aroma. Slightly sour and cloying in finish. The variety of flavors didn’t mesh well together. But, what did I expect from a flavored banana brew? Answer: more than what I got.

I am absolutely in love with this beer. It is very sweet and tastes almost like a banana Laffy Taffy.

I had to give this weird beer, picked up in Belgian, some thought. It Doesn’t smell like beer, or really look like beer, or taste like beer. But it does what it is supposed to do quite well. It tastes like banana mashed up with honey. While nothing I will try again, it was a tasty dessert for my meal.

Bottle, 3.5%. Sour banana aroma. Almost clear colour, very small white head. The flavour is quite acidic, with some banana.

Bottle, bought @ Vinspecialisten, Kolding Storcenter.
Pours pale golden with a slight, frothy, white head. Aroma is heavy of overripe bananas and very light funk. Okay, lively mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, heavy banana with a light tart funkiness as well. It is far too sweet, but actually acceptable.
