sunevdj (1482), Copenhagen OE, Denmark Oct 1, 2008 Bottle, thanks bager. Pours an opaque yellow. Smells sour. Tart with aromas of vinegar and wood. Medium body. Medium to soft carbonation. Theis (2212), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 30, 2008 Bottle at home - thanks to Bager. Clear golden - no head. High sourness, gooseberries, "bone dry" high dryness, dry gumms, high acid, high carbonation. OK. Dickinsonbeer (2550), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Aug 19, 2008 Pours a nice mostly clear woody coppery gold with a nice carbonation. Prickly nose, with sharp funk, and insane lemony citric sour notes- very spot on sharp horsey sour lambic smell. Good funk and tart flavor, has some lemon zest, herbal and grassy notes with tons of old wood- similar to a boon, - gets so sharp it becomes a bit butyric and hints of iso-valeric acids but it works nicely- awesome mouth puckering acidity in the end. I really liked this one, and wish they would just send this one over and keep all the rest we get here in the states. puzzl (1823), New York, New York, USA Aug 4, 2008 Bottle shared by Dickinsonbeer. Very funky, old horseblanket aroma is muggy and very rustic. Huge sourness with very high carbonation. Funkiness is extreme and awesome. A bit hard to drink from the over-the-top carbonation, but this is still rather tasting. Better than its rating implies. schuimkroaat (384), Leuven, Belgium Aug 2, 2008 37.5 cl corked bottle, ’bbe’ Apr 2012. Brassy colour with just a slight turbidity and a thin lace for a head. In the nose, the brett sensation is mellowed by fruit jam notes (a hint of strawberry). Dryness and pungent lemony acidity are counterbalanced by a soft, honeyish touch on the palate and some wood. Tastes less sophisticated than some other examples of the style.
