Pours a slightly hazy yellow gold body under a very fizzy off-white one inch head. So fizzy it’s audible. Torrents of visible carbonation. The nose is tons of musty cellar and wet cork with some hints of sourness. The flavor is bracingly acidic and sour with lots of apple cider vinegar. A little too much wet cork. Not a whole lot of subtlety to this one. Some citrusy lemon rind on the finish. Mouthfeel is very loose with a somewhat watery texture and lots of fizzy foaming carbonation. Finishes bone dry with lingering acidity. While this wasn’t especially great, it was still light years ahead of the sweetened versions. Just a little too one-dimensional. Lemony intense aroma, with an equally intense taste. Acidic and tart, with a wheaty, funky farmhouse thing going on. Delicious and on par with any traditional gueuze such as Cantillon or De Cam. Great beer. yespr (12407), Copenhagen O, Denmark

Spare lacework. Light cloudy golden color. Nice Gueuze aroma with horse blanket, earth, sour yeast, light fruit, citrus and milky sourness. Medium bodied with light dry texture and an average carbonation. Moderated sour flavour with light sweetness. Light dry and sour finish. Rastacouere (5564), Montréal, Quebec, Canada

Quite sharp and tart, lemony nose with strong hay nuances and interesting honey hints. In mouth, I was surprised to notice as much acetic acidity than lactic. These vinegary wanderings felt a bit out of context. Comfortable tartness level, but rather weak carbonation, initially biting, but quickly dulling out to flatness. I certainly can’t call it bad, it is more than honest, but I was under the impression that it was gonna be neat and better integrated beyong the fact that it is indeed tart and quite authentic. Fresh acidic, very stingy the the palate, in a nice way. Flattens nicely out, into a constant dry, grape-like feel. The yeasts gets last word in the finish; I liked this.
