A lambic with farmhouse gueze flavors. Highly carbonated, refreshing, and easy to drink but thin and lacking substance.

Cloudy white-yellow in colour, lingering medium sized off-white coloured head, some lacing. The aroma is acidic and slightly sour, wheaty, lemon citrus. The flavour has lambic qualities - something new for Chapeau - sour, acidic, leather and cheese. Acidic mouthfeel, medium body, high carbonation. Finishes lightly sweet turning sour. A drinkable Chapeau lambic. Actually quite impressive, nice tartness throughout.

Bottle. Pours a hazy white-yellow body with a soft white head. Barnyard and lemon juice aroma - certainly induces a few tears. The flavour is quite tart and grapefruity with a refreshing oaky wheat base. Faint pear sweetness left in the finish. Thanks to rudolf for hauling this back for me via diabel!

Bottle@Home. Funkt barnyard aroma with citrus and oak. Yellow color, no head or lace. Maltsweet, sour, hints of oak, citrus and some bitterness. Not exceptional but pleasant. Very citrus fruit juice like.

Bottled. Hazy yellow colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is sour fruits and apricot. Flavour is very sour, earthy and mouldy. Not very exciting in my opinion...

Bottle @ 16th Weekend of Spontaneous Fermentation 2007, Opstal. Hazy medium yellow color with a small fizzy fair lacing mostly diminishing white head. Aroma is heavy sour, grainy, hay. Flavor is light sweet and heavy acidic with a long duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat.

Slightly hazy, brownish body; Very grainy, very little sour aroma, aromas as a to young lambic; Very 1-dimensional sour green apple like; Very warm wooden finish. Taste like it ain’t ready.

A Mes rate: Bottled at the brewery during the Toer de Geuze. Lovely orange / yellow colour with a big bubbly head. Sadly it’s all just run of the mill from there. Much too mellow all round and a little over carbed. As I said, run of the mill.
