| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 21, 2007 Cloudy white-yellow in colour, lingering medium sized off-white coloured head, some lacing. The aroma is acidic and slightly sour, wheaty, lemon citrus. The flavour has lambic qualities - something new for Chapeau - sour, acidic, leather and cheese. Acidic mouthfeel, medium body, high carbonation. Finishes lightly sweet turning sour. A drinkable Chapeau lambic. Actually quite impressive, nice tartness throughout.

Barnyard and lemon juice aroma - certainly induces a few tears.
The flavour is quite tart and grapefruity with a refreshing oaky wheat base. Faint pear sweetness left in the finish.
Thanks to rudolf for hauling this back for me via diabel! jbrus (4882), Delft, Netherlands

Maltsweet, sour, hints of oak, citrus and some bitterness. Not exceptional but pleasant. Very citrus fruit juice like. oh6gdx (8917), Vasa, Finland

Bottled at the brewery during the Toer de Geuze. Lovely orange / yellow colour with a big bubbly head. Sadly it’s all just run of the mill from there. Much too mellow all round and a little over carbed. As I said, run of the mill.
