| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 3, 2009 Bottle. Pours a cloudy light orange with a small white head. Aroma of pineapple, coconut, plum, and apple. Flavor of more pineapple and coconut. Sweet and reminds me of a pina colada. Pretty tasty actually. By now I know not to trust the overall ratings for Chapeau...ratebeerians are crazy. Anyway, decent beer and plenty drinkable.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 3, 2009 Bottle. Aroma little but sugary and medicinal with a little bit of, um, asphalt or something? Also though, after looking at Nekronos’ rating, I do see that pineapple cheesecake edge to things. Flavor becomes increasingly sweet and syrupy without really much pineapple at all, sort of too sweet to be pineapple. Unlike many, I have enjoyed the other Chapeaus I’ve consumed, but this one was not good...though apparently I still enjoyed it a lot more than most! Nekronos (2265), Xalapa, Mexico
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 26, 2009 Nice, a little sour like the oens I like, but somewhat cheesy in tatse. I mean, like a pinapple and cheese cake. probstk (1055), Nepean, Ontario, Canada
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jun 23, 2009 25 cl bottle from LCBO, served cold in a tulip glass.
App.: Clear golden with a small white froth.
Aroma: Insanely sweet pineapple and other, more vague “tropical” fruits, so ridiculously sweet, light tang and a touch of rubber band,
Palate: Medium body, medium-low effervescence.
Flav.: Pineapple hard candy, like the kind you get in an assortment, individually wrapped with a chewy centre, other fruitiness; a touch of tang, lots of sweetness, some residual pineapple/tropical fruit.
Maybe I’m just thirsty, but I didn’t mind drinking this. No, I won’t stock up, but it was pleasant enough for an alco-pop. pootzboy (1048), Hawgville, Ontario, Canada
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Jun 23, 2009 Bottle: Gold with a light lace cap. Aromas of fruit are too pronounced, the nice lambic horse blanket is buried in this syrupy junk- fruit taste.
Too sweet to be a properly blended fruit lambic. Radek Kliber (3962), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 17, 2009 Bottle 250ml
Appearance: bright golden with hint of amber, large white creamy top mid lace shown.3+ Nose: aroma of pineapple and other citrus with sugary syrupy sweetness. Some strange burnt rubbery top. Where is the freshness of pineapple? Flavor/Palate : Thin yet with full out super sweet syrupy sweetness flavored what some might consider pear and pineapple. Very brief grapefruit sourness is drowned in sea of sugar. If you like flavored sodas you might like this one.
