A hazy orange beer with a small disappearing head. The aroma is sour with notes of wood and sweet malt and only hints of pineapple - a very promising aroma for a Chapeau. But the good promises from the aroma is destroyed by tasting it, because the flavor is way too sweet and dominated totally by pineapple - it tastes like a pineapple sodapop - since the carbonization prickles the tongue.

(Bottle 25 cl) Only 1,5% ABV in my version. So far I haven’t really been all too impressed by the sticky, sweet De Troch fruit beers. But no rules without an exception. And actually this pineapple-beer is rather refreshing although I seriously doubt that the flavours are completely authentic. But don’t consider this a beer. rather a softdrink for hot summer days. 260498

25 cL bottle, huge thanks to MiP for this (although he will hate me for the thank you :)).

Pours clear and golden orange with a lacing white head. Dry wooden and alcohol aroma. Light fruity. Flavour is sweet and solid fruity with a distinct coconut flavour into the finish. Citric/sour finish with a growing coconut note.

Orange coloured. Super sweet. A perfect clone of the artificial pineapple juice I used to drink when I was younger.

Bottle @<a href=http://ratebeer.com/forums/thisted-kalder target=_new> Thisted Tasting by Maria.. Clear light amber color with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate fruity - pineapple, brown sugar, it more like a bad faro. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Bottle, 3.5%. Vinous coconut aroma, very pungent. Dark grey colour. The flavour has coconut, pineapple. Quite acidic.

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is some pineapple along with sourness and rubber,. Flavour is really bad, pineapples, rubber, metal and some paper. Really not pleasant at all. Yet another De Troch, that just isn’t very nice.

Clear golden with medium white head. Sweet and sour aroma with fruity and woody notes. Cloying sweet flavor with citric and peachy notes.
