Yeast muddle orange and amber, plum fringed, with a rim of white. light aroma of rotting white grapes, with a meaty squeek. Faint lambic edges of oak and sour lactic. Lightly revolting. Sickly sweet white grape candy and some rotting citrus in teh bottom of the fridge dorr. Some dripping honeyish notes, lots of ogrape skins. Far away a grassy wash of lost hop memories. Light efferevesce, but overall destructively sweet and nasty.

Shared by Sliffy at the last Columbus tasting. (Thanks?). The aroma was of pickles, gym socks, and flowers. Light brown in appearance. The palate was light and flat. Taste was sugary sweet, earthy and some fruit in there somewhere--all amongst the aforementioned pickle juice. I prayed to St. Andre for help in finishing my portion, and he answered my prayers...with cheese.

Bottle shared by sliffy at CTV3, thanks! Copper with almost non-existent head. The aroma was pungent to say the least, lots of vinegar...like staight apple cider vinegar. The flavor also was pretty much staight vinegar with some apple cider to it. This one is pretty rough...cheese or no cheese. Looking at some of the other ratings, this one had some major infection.

C.T. 3.0- well, it looked okay. And then I smelled it; apple cider, pickles and feet. Tasted about the same but had a lot of sweetness up front that quickly became sour. Glad I got to try it once, but never again.

Bottle at Columbus tasting 3.0 shared by sliffy! - Thanks! - Pours light brown with very light tan head that didn’t stay at all. Aromas of vinegar, pickles, barnyard, and funk.. Very pungent and in your face.. Flavor is vinegar at first, then some funky barnyard then a little apple and candi sugar there before the sourness finish it off again. Good thing the St. Andre cheese was there to cleanse the palate cause this one was a little tough to drink..

Bottle courtesy of Papsoe: Copper color with a white head. Aroma, dill and vinegar. Flavor, sweet up frontwith a vinegar, kick, kinda felt like a cider, there was definitely an apple taste to it. Though it did pair well with this St. Andre cheese we had, this beer was pretty vile.

Bottle shared with GregClow, Blankboy, biegaman, and Hogtown Harry, courtesy of Harry. I’m not a ticker or a ratings whore, but I don’t mind admitting I wanted to knock off a Faro, mainly to see what the heck it was, and yes, to complete my styles journey. So here goes. Weird aroma - musty stuff, dust, weird sugar sweetness, some malt, yeast - odd but I kind of liked it. Dark yellow, small white head. Eye opening taste - but what is it? Malt, yeast, so much sugar sweetness, some fruit notes. It starts interesting but becomes so sweet and ends up tasting like every other Chapeau I’ve ever tried. It odes, however, make me want to try a good Faro.

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, biegaman & tupalev -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Finally the long sought after last style: Faro! Pours a dirty amber with a spare white head. Aroma is sour and funky with some sweet sugary notes -- pretty nice. Can’t say the same for the flavour though: what the hell is in there? It’s sugary sweet but something seems off, it does not taste good at all. Thanks Harry for sharing this elusive style with us.
