| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Mar 12, 2009 Consumed at Zythos, St Niklaas, Belgium, 08-03-09 This came courtesy of Ian and Mes who were on a Brouwerij De Troch tasting mission, cheers lads. Pours hazy brown orange. Plenty of unrefined brown sugary aroma kick us off. The taste has a soft carbonated canned drink feel about it, maybe Dr Pepper. There is a little sharpness but the sweetness is too much for me I’m afraid. A5 A4 F5 P3 OV08 2.5 phishpond417 (1953), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 28, 2009 So this was a big surprise from John via Suds, due to a tasting with Shawn. It just happened to work out that way, and I’m glad it did- what a delightful beer! Pours a cloudy orange colour with a consistant battle of sour and sweet- although not forceful- green apple, fig and brown sugar notes throughout. A little bit of tea- something that reminds me of some throat tea that brittany gives me. floral and fruity with fermented fruits. Awesome, and interesting- i would love to try this again! Thanks John! daknole (2973), Plantation, Florida, USA

Aroma is wood/vinegar, sweet medium malt, apple. Taste is sweet apple/cherry/sugar, medium malt, faint wood. Nice mouth feel. Mild effervescence. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 23, 2009 Mission accomplished! 72/72 styles. 350ml bottle cap & corked. Freakin’ cork fell in. Lots of carbonation, Poured a dark dirty brown, fluffy head which remained till the end. Smells like apples, honey, yeast and cadies. Taste is of apple cider, surgar and champagne? I don’t know what was up with that. Finish is sweet and tart, a bit overdone with the sugar. Overall I enjoyed finishing off the styles, as it was one of my beer goals, but this "faro" was a beer that wasn’t all that.
