Lots of straw berries and sugar. Cloyingly sweet and sticky on the palate. better than the other from this brewery though.

Undated bottle at Julios Spring Beer Fest, 04/02/05. Light pink-red, like an unripe strawberry. Small cover of bubbles diminishes immediately, a bit of cloudiness. Smells lightly sweet, but has real enough strawberry essence aroma, mixed with a little cask wood and a touch of dry, lightly tart yeast. Flavor, while sweet, was not powdery, syrupy or terribly artificial, not like the mirabelle or framboise. Body is medium, with a touch of fruit syrup, a light zest of carbonation for texture and a hint of tartness on the finish. Oak does not dry the flavor out well enough, though at least it is not dominant, but can be noted. Just needs a good deal more lambic quality and less fruit, in my opinion, though to be fair, there is some lightly tart yeast, to call it funky might be pushing it, however.

Poured ruddy reddish. Big bouquet of strawberry. Moderately sweet but a lot less so than the Framboise. Still too sweet in my book. Big strawberry taste. Good if you like strawberries.

12 oz corked and capped bottle. Murky pink brown, with a tan head. This one is more like a lambic than the Framboise, at least from this bottle. Soured strawberry aroma, and yes it is sour. Sour strawberry flavor, leaning sour, more than sweet. This is decent and not overly sweet, and the strawberry flavors are not as pronounced as to make it too much of a girly drink.

Ruby amber color with a light long white foam. The aroma is an intense explosion of strawberries who came wiht a lambic oak cask nose. Pleasant strawberry flavor, definitely on the sweet side but less artificial that i was expecting, but still has a touch of acidity to balance. finishes with a blast of sweet strawberries.

Copper color, artificial sweet sour aroma, heavy sweet taste, light body, sour finish.
