25cl, from De Hopduvel Gent, not complex fruit brew, yet refreshing, balanced, hazy, small head, nice brew

Cloudy deep red with a medium pink head. Artificial raspberries in the nose. Sourish flavour with raspberries, mild barnyard and citric notes. Finished sourish.

12oz bottle. Pours a deep ruby with hints of brown, topped with a fairly small off-white head. Tangy raspberry syrup aroma; with raspberry seed, cork and some mustiness. Aroma is a bit on the syrupy sweet side. Flavor is sweet-tart, reminiscent of raspberry candy, with not much else going on. Although it’s not quite cloying, it’s still too sweet for me. It is otherwise easy to drink, with medium body and little carbonation. Too sweet for me.

Pegasus Cafe, Copenhagen. Storng raspberry aroma. Sour, but not sour enough to cope with the syrup mixed in. Not my cup of tea!

Bottle, bought @ Haus der 131 Biere.
Pours muddy deep red, small fizzy white-pink head. Settles as a thin film. Heavy fruity aroma, lots of raspberries. Some tartness. High carbonation, fair mouthfeel. Flavour is medium tart, quite good fruitiness and a subdued sweetness at the end. A very fruity lambic - and actually not that bad - compared to the other Chapeau offerings.

330ml bottle (EBF2008)
Big raspberry aroma - real fruit, not artificial. Sharp puckering raspberry taste. Sweet finish. Very refreshing. One of the better framboises I’ve had (nothing can touch 3F of course), and definitely one of de Troch’s better brews. I’ve been looking for this sourness from de Troch for a long time - finally I’m rewarded! (And my next one was the Lemon...)

Small pink head. Deep red body with small particles. Strong raspberry juice aroma. Not a lot else. Sweetish yoghurty intense raspberry taste. Taste settles into the mouth. Very good! (0.25l bottle at Pegasus, Copenhagen.)
