daniele (758), Italy Aug 18, 2008 oro poca schiuma note di legno acetiche in bocca lieve acidità poi diventa dolce.... bhensonb (2880), Woodland, California, USA Jun 4, 2008 25 cl. bottle. Aroma of mixed light stone fruit and prune. Dark amber color with a light tan head. Medium body with fizzy carbonation. Slightly sour, but mostly sweet, and there is a touch of cooked plum. Ok, but not titillating the mouth. acrdz (4297), Boulder, Colorado, USA Jun 2, 2008 330ml bottle purchased at a shop and consumed on the station platform waiting for a train. Has a weird spoiled fruit nose of old peaches and apricots, with some tart apple cider and fruit syrup sweetness... apples, pears, honey, etc... mild tartness overall, faro-like mostly, with some resemblance to soda pop as well (sprite-like carbonation). Boring sweetened juice stuff, basically, not surprising. thewolf (3628), Kolding, Denmark May 25, 2008 Bottle, bought @ YNWA, Kolding.
[vintage 1999]
Pours hazy amber with nearly no head. What is there, fizzes away almost instantly. Aroma is apple, vanilla, oak and lightly fruity tartness. Rather fizzy with big bubbles. Flavour is rather sweet, lots of apples, good oakiness and semi-dry finish. Okay, but more like a cider/faro than a gueuze. KimJohansen (3259), Copenhagen V, Denmark Apr 26, 2008 Clear amber with tiny head. Sweet and aour aroma with woody notes. Flavor likewise with light farmhouse notes.
