Aroma of musty yeast, citrus, and lemon. Flavor is overly sweet, citrusy lemon, and carbonation. Thin body, nothing impressive here. jtw (944), farmington, Michigan, USA

Nose is mainly lemon and lime, and something that reminds me of dishwashing water. Taste is almost lemon juice, with a short, sweet beginning and a lemon-acid finish. | 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Sep 27, 2005 Strong lemon, maple and brown sugar in the lightly woody aroma that has a musty undertone. Clear dark golden body is topped by a fizzy white line of head that diminishes to a slight ring. Extreme sugary sweetness up front is offset by strong lemon acidity that lasts. Light body with light but effervescent carbonation. Far too much sugar and far too much lemon for my taste especially as it warms. Flute. Fridge temp. Dark golden. Lemony juicy nose along with a touch of tequila. Weird. Ultra-lemony, ultra-sweet, and dry. Very acidic. RAYBOY01 (1868), Chicago, Illinois, USA

What’s not to like? And NOTHING WHATEVER to do with beer. Papsoe (15107), Frederiksberg, Denmark

But then again lemon in beer is not THAT unusual - and De Troch has taught me to expect anything and nothing
Clear amber with a very small and collapsing head. 20% lemon juice is added to the already sour lambic with a ton of sugar to illiminate some of the acid. Quite fresh and sharp but more unusual than actually good. 161000 BeerAteHer (384), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | May 1, 2005 Pale amber color, no head to speak of. Lots of little pieces of yeast floating around, some are booger-sized. Aroma is nicer than the flavor for this one, with old-time elements of malt, cellar and lemon that somewhat resemble a Tom Collins cocktail. Flavor falls somewhat flat: though Chapeau Lemon has a neat antiseptic element, the lemon taste is like those plastic bottles that you squeeze. However, the finish is more like real lemon. With its astringency, I could imagine this being a good appetizer beer before a large meal.
