| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 2, 2008 Honey gold hue, with no head, and some floaties of candi sugar swirling around, wet metallic oxidation nose, with a light citrus lemon tartness, and a hint of wet oakiness, mild funkiness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a tart acidic, juicy lemony character, with a sweet and sour, wet oaky accent and oxidation taste too, leading towards a sour, fruity lemony finish. Very close to a commercial faro by his sweetness. Sandman2222 (42), Florida, USA
| 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 1/10 | 2/5 | 1/20 | Sep 30, 2008 Like an over sugared lemonade, this beer slaps the tastebuds quite hard with a cheap Alco-pop flavor, minus the ABV. I couldn’t finish it, and neither could my girlfriend who normally loves this type of thing. PaulHegedus (467), Georgetown, Ontario, Canada
| 0.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 1/10 | 2/5 | 2/20 | Sep 23, 2008 Bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with relatively large chunks of sediment. Aromas of lemon rind, sugar like cheap lemonade or mass market lemon drink. Head is dead now. The taste is super sour, pucker up candy store sour but foul, shudder-inducing sour. Lemon finish like candy with a hint of bubblegum (the first bit of complexity?). FatPhil (3480), Espoo, Finland

Sharp sour aroma, yes, but it’s also a lovely sweet lemony aroma. Very tasty acidic sourness. Brings a pucker to your cheeks, and goosebumps down the spine! Long zingy lemony finish - fruity, not chemical. This is the one. If you’re only going to have one de Troch in your life, this is it. cyrenaica (440), Milton, Ontario, Canada

I tried this beer on August 2, 2008 after purchasing from one of the local LCBO outlets. The beer poured a translucent gold colour with a thin white head, and tons of particles. The aroma was lambic with a twist of lemon. The mouthfeel was SOUR! It was light bodied, champagne-like carbonation - and did I mention it was SOUR! The flavour was overwhelimngly lemon with some sour malt as well.
I thought the first mouthful of this was powerful..........little did I know it was the mouthful that was the easiest to tolerate. DerWeg (762), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
