| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 1, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a small diminishing white head. Aroma of lightly tart lemon, somewhat fake-ish lime and some mild funkyness. Very carbonated flavour of tart lemon, weird lime again, lots of sourness and some sugary sweetness -- sharp, acidic and odd tasting. Light to average bodied. This isn’t working for me at all.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 19, 2008 A golden lambic with a thin white head. Aroma is tart lemon, with light horse blanket, actually interesting. In mouth, a very sour lambic, with strong lemon juice, some lactic notes, a bit of residual sugar and sour sop in finale. I actually thought this was nice. LCBO bottle. Boutip (2366), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 17, 2008 Bottle: Poured a golden color beer with a small bubby head with minimal retention and no lacing. Aroma of tart notes with huge lemon syrup which I don’t really know what to make of. Taste consists of huge lemony syrup which is nothing close to actual lemon with some light tart notes. Zit is a weird experiment after all and one that could have provided worse results. Totally untraditional but somewhat drinkable afterall. GRM (1264), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 12, 2008 Delicious and simple. Aroma of sour lemon, funk and nothing else. Pour was a nice medium gold with a one finger near white head. Taste was very acidic and citrusy. Strong lemon in the front and the aftertaste has a sweetness. Goes from lemon juice to lemonade from the time it hits your lips to the aftertaste. Very odd. Nice carbonation and almost could mistake if for a Zima-like drink. Wish this was available locally. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jun 28, 2008 Bottle (330ml). Clear gold, vanishingly small white head, not much life to it. Smells pretty good though - tart funky lemon and only light sugary sweet malt in the background - really does have a good share of that burnt rubber lambic character. The taste is quite a bit sweeter, but there’s a boatload of straight-ahead lemon to this - I like it. Average body, very acidic, sweet-sour linger and a tingling tongue when all’s done - nice hot weather sipper, if a bit simple. Cartoonkhaki (1150), Brantford, Ontario, Canada
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jun 24, 2008 Dark golden colour with no head. I let the bottle sit for a few days and poured slow so as to not have any sediment. Strong sweet citrus aroma that is sharp. The flavour is very sour with a little citrus but possibly vinegar. This has a much stronger sourness then any of the other Chapeaus I’ve had. There is a strange bready lemon biscuit after taste.
