Strong, sharp lemony aroma, with maybe a little ginger. Some of the lambic flavour and bite remain, but it mostly just tastes like sweet & sour lemon, the sweetness seemingly coming from table sugar. Thin. Highly carmbonated. pootzboy (1048), Hawgville, Ontario, Canada
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 30, 2008 Hazed gold, smallish cap, overpowering citrus aroma with a bit of muskiness. Tastes like lemonade with a funky back taste to it. I always maintained that lemons and beer don’t mix well, this confirms it.
Not one of my favorite lambic blends. tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 29, 2008 Bottle, LCBO. Clear gold, no head. Aroma of strong lemon, not near as artificial as I was expecting. This is bad really, very zesty. Taste is mouth puckering lemon, a hint of ginger, and an odd metallic note at the end which sort of ruins what was a refreshing drink. Notice I said drink as there is no beer character to this at all - it either tastes like a kicked up lemonade or a mixed drink (rye and ginger?). So overall? Tough call. It was refreshing to a point, but it sure was not a beer. MrManning (1652), London, Ontario, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 28, 2008 Bottle- Pours a clear gold liquid, with an average white foamy cap. The aroma is funky yeast with lemon zest, wet hay, and a metallic note. Contrary to what I was expecting, this is not a sugary cloying mess. The flavour profile is a smack of tart lemons and funky brett like flavours, with a bit of balancing sugar. Like real lemon juice and funky lambic. This is actually pretty good. The finish is quite tart and very astringent. I wouldn’t be able to drink a lot of these, but this is certainly an enjoyable summer beer. Dedollewaitor (3753), Odense, Denmark
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 19, 2008 Bottle at Aarhus beerfestival: Pours dark golden with a tiny off white head. Aroma is pretty much sweet lemon. Very sweet all around - artificial/one dimensional & doesnt feel like a real lambic! Maria (6299), Thisted, Denmark
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Apr 11, 2008 Dark golden with huge chunks of sediment and an OK head. The aroma has notes of lemon and sour drops. The flavour has sweetness, notes of lemon like in drops and the flavour is artificial. The overall impression is too sweet and artificial. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 6, 2008 Bottle, 25 cl.
Clear golden-orange color, with a small, white disappearing head.
Aroma: lemon, sweet, sour, citric. Light body. Taste begin with sourness, lemon,
sweet. Not so bad, for an aperitif.
