The color is a slightly hazy orange and it has a fine though fast disappearing head. The flavor starts out with a sweet sourness hitting your tongue - the sweetness probably stemming from the added suger. In the middle the flavor is totally dominated by lemon, that lingers - it only has hints of lambic. It is like the other Chapeau lambics. For me it has way too much lemon and too little lambic in it. | 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jul 27, 2005 (Bottle 25 cl) Must admit that I’ve kept this bottle for quite some time, desperately seeking the right moment to drink a lemon beer. But then again lemon in beer is not THAT unusual - and De Troch has taught me to expect anything and nothing
Clear amber with a very small and collapsing head. 20% lemon juice is added to the already sour lambic with a ton of sugar to illiminate some of the acid. Quite fresh and sharp but more unusual than actually good. 161000 yespr (12311), Copenhagen O, Denmark
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 2, 2007 25 cL bottle. Pours golden orange with a white creamy/crispy head. Almost soapy lemon aroma, rather clean. Sweet and citric lemon flavoured with a whiff of that classic lambic woody flavour. Lemon lasts into the finish. Quite refreshing. omhper (12245), Stockholm, Sweden
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 1/5 | 9/20 | May 17, 2004 Bottled. Bronze colour. Lemon juice mixed with sugar. Fruity. Some lambicish notes remain, but it’s bold and soda-like. Acidic finish. fonefan (11737), VestJylland, Denmark
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 6, 2006 Bottle. Golden color with white head. Nose is mainly lemon and lime. Taste is almost lemon juice, with a short, sweet beginning and a lemon-acid finish. MiP (9096), Sønderborg, Denmark
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/20 | Jan 5, 2009 Bottle, 3.5%. Sweet, caramelly, slightly citric aroma. Clear amber colour. The flavour is quite citric and sour. Biting lemon aftertaste. That would be tolerable, were it not for the underlying flat, bready homebrew mash flavour. oh6gdx (8917), Vasa, Finland
