| 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Dec 30, 2004 It is fruity allright. But it is very artificial and sour in an unpleasant way. Rotten finish, the fruits (or extract) must be too old. Ungstrup (15382), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 29, 2004 A hazy orange beer with chuncks of yeast floating around and a disappearing white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of Mirabelles. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, sirup, and mirabelles, leading to a dry end. Surprisingly good compared to other Chapeau brews, but not a Lambic. jfm (1694), Holbæk, Denmark

| 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Nov 6, 2004 It’s been awhile since i’ve tried one on these way too sweet fake-lambics, but as it turned out it was a stupid idea to think it would be any good. Cloudy yellow/orange coloured, small head. Very sirupy and sweet, cloying. Gets worse with every sip. Absolutely horrible. imdownthepub (5172), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Nov 2, 2004 Bottled. Sludgy gold colour, hazed with carbonated head. Burnt prune flavour with a cloying sweet background. Hard to drink. Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Sep 27, 2004 12.7oz. bottle, corked ’n’ crowned.
Appearance: clear honey-gold color, buzzing with carbonation, and a head that stands proud for a while, then fizzles.
Aroma: very shy, but definitely plummy, ripe and sweet, with accompanying sour .On the palate: greatly, mouth-puckeringly tart!, with fruity sweetness coming right in afterwards, but not sticking out nearly enough.
Plum flavor continues, but lays terribly low. Light in body, malt, hops, beer...
I’ve enjoyed other offerings from this lower-tier lambic brewer before, but this one has to be the most disappointing.
Right at the end, the sweetness gets cloying, as the sour loses it’s pucker a bit. I almost don’t feel like finishing it.
