Ungstrup (11385), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 29, 2004 A hazy orange beer with chuncks of yeast floating around and a disappearing white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of Mirabelles. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, sirup, and mirabelles, leading to a dry end. Surprisingly good compared to other Chapeau brews, but not a Lambic. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Apr 5, 2002 Extremely sweet with cloying flavour over prunes. Papsoe (10551), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 5, 2005 (Bottle 25 cl) Just what I’ve always been dreaming of: a beer made with juice from cherry plums.... Hazy yellow with an absent head, rather flat with a cloyingly sweetness. Yes, it does taste like fruit, and perhaps even cherry plums. But this is more pop than beer. 310797 Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Dec 4, 2003 Cloudy, dull dark tan appearance. Aroma shows brettanomyces at first, followed by some sugar, then it gets plummy and syrupy with vague almond skin notes. Sweet & sour character like an oud bruin, but with the added yellow plum fruitiness. Definitely a dessert beer, as the sweetness grows more intense and gets cloying as you go. yespr (6943), Copenhagen O, Denmark Apr 6, 2008 25 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow to orange with a lacing white head. Spiced, light woody and citric fruity mirabelle aroma. Flavour is sourish and sweet fruity following. Mild mirabelle note. Ends with a mix of sugar and sourness.
