This slides down so soft and sweet with a scintilating fruit tang and a shivery little fizz that it’s gone before you know it. You are then left bereft as a howling naked orphan wanting more. fredandboboflo (1431), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 2, 2009 Bottle. Aroma of tart and sweet fruits, some oak. A bit more oak in the flavor to go along with a tart base with balancing sugar. For me, the sweetness was nowhere near as overpowering as it is for others, and I found the beer to be pleasantly tart and oaky. Yes, this is clearly sweetened, but my tongue seems not to be offended by such a sacrilege. LilBeerDoctor (1542), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 2, 2009 Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma of sweet fruit (I don’t specifically get plum, maybe apple and pear). Flavor is similar to a punched up apple juice. Slight sour prickliness. A touch of oak/wood in the finish. Very drinkable and enjoyable. Not spectacular nor that complex but super tasty! Certainly far from a nasty drain pour. These bad ratings are just sad. I don’t understand them. I was initially frightened to try this beer, but now I know not to believe the silly warnings in the future.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 4, 2006 Bottle... Murky, golden ale with a small, creamy, white head. The nose is of over-ripe (two days gone) plum, barnyard and wood. The flavor is moderately sweet, moderately tart, fruity and woodsy. Medium-bodied and creamy with lively carbonation. Finishes sweet and tangy. Too sweet? Perhaps. Fortified with additional sugar and extract to eliminate what should be an eye-winking sourness? Probably. But, I dig it! joet (1709), Fulton, California, USA
