| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 30, 2004 The aroma on this is incredible. Peaches defintiely -- but more like a peach candy than a real peach I suspect syrup but that is fine in the aroma -- lots of oakiness and tobacco in the nose. The appearance is a little less than desirable due to the huge clods of yeast, minus that the color is good. Oh yeah the peach syrup is there an a little overly sweet, but it really is too bad because I think that the base brew might be rather good. All that said, Ithink this is very drinkable and was pleasantly suprised. dhurtubise (568), Hamilton, Ontario, Canada

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 4, 2007 bottle - Pours orange colored with a very thin head. Peach and a little lambic funk come through in the aroma. The flavor is very peachy. Who would have thought? It’s sweet and light. I found it enjoyable enough. It might work for someone as an introduction to lambics too. I guess I liked it more than most. Ah well. SilkTork (4174), Rochester, Kent, England
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 20, 2003 Bottle. Less sweet than average fruit Chapeau. Quite delicate. Aroma is more lambic than peach, but there is a touch of peach along with the cheese, acid and dirty socks. Sweet up front - a delicate peach fruit sweetness. Gentle acidity comes along, and the whole is rounded off in a cidery manner. Very pleasant and refreshing - but quite sober compared to the normal fun, sweet, summer explosions of other Chapeau. hoppygrrrl (104), Albion, Michigan, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 31, 2003 Chapeau's peche has a pungent, earthy, yeasty aroma emanating from a beautiful coppery amber body, absolutely filled with flecks of yeast. This lambic has a wonderful feel - it smoothly coats your tongue and palate. But the peach flavor I was expecting was overwhelmed by too much alcohol, and it finished with surprising bitterness, like an overripe, sour peachskin.
