Commercial Description:
Half Moon Hefe Weizen is an unfiltered beer, naturally cloudy from wheat proteins. The grain in Half Moon Hefe Weizen is half wheat and half barley. Leaving the beer unfiltered retains its character from brewer's yeast & gives vitality to this invigorating ale. Smooth Hallertau hops provide a fantastic balance of subtle hop taste and aroma, giving you the perfect revitalizer to rejuvenate your day or night.

Bottle... Hazy yellow ale with a small, fizzy, white head. Typical hefe aromas and flavors. All the appropriate fruity, bubble gum-like esters and spicy phenols with a touch of smoke thrown in. The flavor’s a little too sweet and too heavy on the clove. Medium-bodied and a touch oily with lively carbonation. Spicy finish.

Bottle. A drinkable wheat beer, if a little short in flavour. Typical banana, clove and citrus flavour, but perhaps a bit more carbonated than German wheats. Drinkable, but maybe a little dull.

Bottle courtesy of durhambeer. Pours a hazy amber with a lasting white head. Smells of citrus, coriander, bananas, yogurt. Tastes of sweet citrus, wheat, coriander, clove, banana. Nice.

Poured a clear dark yellow color. The aroma was wheaty with a tart citrusy lemon. It smells like this might be getting an infection. Or should I say has one and growing quickly. Wheaty malt flavor and a light body. Not much going on other than the new life.

Bottle: Bright and clear yellow, with a quickly built and quickly dismantled white foam dressing. Broad yeasty banana aroma. Bit of a gristy clove flavor with a soapy feel. The whole mouthfeel is reminiscent of a fizzy macro, but it delivers a very basic HW character in the flavor. Eh ...

Bottle. Clouded gold. Small but sturdy white head. Nose is yeasty, lightly spiced, light lemon, and banana aromas. Taste is spice, light fruit, soft bubblegum notes, yeast, light citrus and grains. Body is light and leaning towards fizzy. Finishes with more yeast, citrus, and grains.
