The aroma is grassy with yeast and grainy malt. The appearance is golden with floating particles and a huge head. The flavor is like the aroma and bitter. The palate is thin. Overall it’s not that great.

Just really wasnt a fan of this. I love hops and bitter tasting beer but the "sour" taste at the end of this one was just too much for me.

22-Oct-07 (12-oz bottle: Obtained 03-Aug-07 in trade with Otter, thanks Jeremy!) Slightly hazy, golden body is capped by a small, but reasonably persistent white head. Surprisingly sweet and almost sugary flavor is almost tempered by a moderate level of toasted wheat crust and mild background graininess, but the sweetness never lets up, hanging on through to the finish and then some. With all that sweetness, this beer obviously lacks that crisp, clean flavor of a German Helles-style lager. It also seems very heavy for the style, its medium body not really impacted by the very mild hop flavor or bitterness. Grainy aroma doesn’t really reflect the toastiness of the flavor, but there’s a odd bit of pencil shavings in the background. Overall, the toasty flavor is pleasant (though not to style), but the sweetness has to be cut significantly before this beer can be truly enjoyable.

12oz bottle. Light orange color with a thin white web of tiny bubbles. Aroma is sweet malt. Light candi sweet. Flavor isn’t cloying but simply clean and crisp. It’s not bad, it’s just boring.
