Pastor (260), Maine, USA Jul 31, 2008 Thanks to Mikesgrove for this one
Bottle poured into a pint glass produced a good two fingers worth of white head on top of a clear golden body
Aromas of bread malts and light hops filled my nose average smelling
Sweet tasting lager for sure not too much hops present in the flavor I did like the taste of this one
Very drinkable nice and light in the mouth with a good bit of carbonation .I could easily kick back a few of these
hopscotch (4485), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Jun 26, 2006 Draft... ODBF2006... Crystal clear, golden lager with a small, fizzy, off-white head. Grainy aroma with plenty of earthy hops. Delicate malt followed by an abundance of juicy hops build a well-balanced, rounded flavor. Medium-bodied and creamy with medium carbonation. Short, crisp, clean finish. Better than expected. A real thirst quencher! bu11zeye (3656), Frisco, Texas, USA Oct 5, 2005 (Draught) Pours an amber body with a moderate white head. Aroma of corn grain and light citrus. Flavor of cream, hops, and lemon. nearbeer (1234), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Jul 1, 2008 12 oz, bb 2107FX. Orange-gold with a large head that dissipates quickly to a lasting spit. Aroma is orange-lemon and honey. Flavor is orange-lemon, honey, some grain, and a tart citrus and herb note on the finish. A tad larger-than-light body is slightly tingly, and crisply dry on the finish. Looks like I just bought last summer’s batch, so not a very good example of a Helles, but it’s turned into a flavorful lager with some Belgian yeast-like notes. obguthr (707), Poquoson, Virginia, USA Apr 26, 2008 Piney aroma, but more woody. Hazy golden with a few floaties and no head. Despite the label’s purity law claim, I taste mainly corn. Clover honey sets it off. Respectable helles.
