Aroma is orange-lemon and honey. Flavor is orange-lemon, honey, some grain, and a tart citrus and herb note on the finish. A tad larger-than-light body is slightly tingly, and crisply dry on the finish. Looks like I just bought last summer’s batch, so not a very good example of a Helles, but it’s turned into a flavorful lager with some Belgian yeast-like notes. obguthr (1070), Poquoson, Virginia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 1/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 26, 2008 Piney aroma, but more woody. Hazy golden with a few floaties and no head. Despite the label’s purity law claim, I taste mainly corn. Clover honey sets it off. Respectable helles. hopscotch (5549), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

Grainy aroma with plenty of earthy hops. Delicate malt followed by an abundance of juicy hops build a well-balanced, rounded flavor. Medium-bodied and creamy with medium carbonation. Short, crisp, clean finish. Better than expected. A real thirst quencher! jb (1059), Rochester, New York, USA
