[1124-20080226] 750mL (c/o HogTownHarry, w/ him, blankboy, GregClow, jerc, mds). Aroma has a bit of yeasty spice hops. Hazy, light orange brown body with a big long-lasting foamy white head. Lemon zippy zest flavour has bitter hops and a bit of ginger. Medium body. Quite nice. (8/4/8/4/16) 4.0

[1706B-20080912] 750mL bottle. Citrus yeast and boozy wheat aroma. Hazy, light orange brown body with a long-lasting creamy off-white foam and lots of light lacing. Citrus pip flavour initially with rind and zesty bits (not the juice) then follows with a sweaty hit. Medium body. Very nice brew. (9/5/8/4/17) 4.3

Huge fine off-white head over very carbonated orange beer. Bubblegum, white candi sugar, bananaester, orange peel and a bit of hops all the same. Hops and noble ones, bit of cardboard and grapefruit. A little bit of sweet, probably more from the alcohol than from restsugars. Very good balance! Well-bodied, but not thick. Alcoholwarming. I had expected even more hops, but I have to admit that the balance is impressive, which might have been harmed with more C-hops. Not a big, but a great beer. Vraiment, merci mille fois, Sylvain!

Bottle. Hazy yellow-straw with a thick creamy head. Aroma is citrusy, sweet malt, yeast, some alcohol and malt. Flavour is very well balanced with hops, sweet malt, a ton of citrus, lemon, some spices and yeast. Alcohol is barely noticeable. Full bodied with a sharp carbonation. This is an awesome beer.

Bottle thanks to Glouglouburp - thanks for the trade Dany! Beautiful dark yellow, lots of streaming bubbles, big thick foamy white head with great lacing all the way down. Strong yeasty aroma, with just a hint of alcohol. Some lemon. Soft hops. Taste - wow, that’s nice. Soft foamy mouthfeel, starts with expected light malt and yeast with some lemon and then bam, lots of hops. Strong spicy hops that balance perfectly with the typical strong Belgian body. This is like Duvel on hop steroids and I love it. Long burning linger, not alcohol, more like the spicy hops. Dry in the finish, yet rather sweet in the initial taste. One complex mo fo.. This is an entirely unique creation - I have tried a few others of these Belgians with an American hoppy twist but nothing like this. Worth every penny, thanks again Dany!

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, blankboy, mabel, jerc & mds - courtesy of HogTownHarry. Hazy gold with a pillowy white head. Aroma - nice! Tropical fruit, fresh grains, big hops. Sharp carbonation in the body. Flavour is big and complex - pineapple, yeast, mint, green hops, long and lingering finish. Excellent!

Poured a hazy dark gold with a large almost white head. The aroma was dry and yeasty with just a touch of sweetness. The aroma was pretty hoppy with floral notes. Malt flavor but dry not sweet. The finish is even drier. Nice floral notes. the finish is very long and bitter. Tasty and clean. Very different than the previous one from them I tried. I like them equally though (this would have been more if not as dry).

Bottle (750ml) shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, mabel, jerc & mds -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a hazy yellow with a massive lasting foamy white head. Nice spicy wheat beer aroma: wheat, yeast, spices and a good amount of hops. Flavour’s spicy and yeasty along with some fruit and a hoppy finish. Average to medium bodied. Very good stuff.

Thanks to puzzl for sharing this gem. Huge thick pillowy white head that lasts and lasts over a luminescent golden brew. Bright citrusy hop aroma, herbal and grassy with a very bright spicy/lemony amarillo aroma. A bit of very herbal zestiness as well. Very bright fresh Belgian malt base. There is a bit of soft spicky muskiness in back of the brew as well. Spearmint aroma picks up as the beer warms a bit. Wow... an absolutely delicious brew.
