Thanks to Dany for the 2007 bottle! Poured sparkly medium golden with a tall, whipped cream-like cap of whitish head.. plenty of rising carbonation. The aroma picked up a wonderful blend of sweet, toasty darker fruits, orange peel, cat pee, and peppery spices.. sweeter on the back with pale-inspired maltage. The flavor was on the sweet side with candied fruits and toffee at the core.. pepper, dusty funk, and clovey spices join some orange zest, floral notes, and warm alcohol on the edges.. finished zesty with a nice blend of spices and fruity sourness. Dry on the palate with high carbonation and great balance.. expertly-crafted and warm in the belly. This was great!

750ml bottle courtesy of Ughsmash. Many thanks!

Pours a gorgeous plume of creamy long-lasting head. Definate aromas of all three hops involved. I was a bit skeptical about how these would work together, but my fears were quickly put away. Very potent esters that follow quickly behind. Pleasant mouthfeel and body. A very up-front sweetness on the sides of the tongue. The sweetness, bit of creamy character and layers of hop complexity seem a little disjointed on my palate. Overall, still very well crafted and a great blending of hops.

750ml bottle...thanks to drewbeerme for sharing this tasty treat and kudos to this being his 1500th rating.... poured a cloudy golder orange with a huge outpouring fluffy barely off-white head that took a little time to settle..... aroma of grassy/earthy hops, orange citrus zest with spices (almost saison like), and sweet candied sugary malt..... flavor was grassy non-bittered hops with a fair aount of sweeter confectionary malts with a pretty dry finish. mouthfeel was nice, very smooth and it hid the alcohol remarkably well.

Bottle from Glouglougburp. Thanks Dany! Light straw colored body with a big head. The aroma is straw, black pepper, belgian yeast, and citrus. The flavor is very earthy with a mix of spices and some banana. I didn’t care for the flavor all that much really, as it was definitely more like a tripel than a Belgian Strong.

Rating #1500! 750ml bottle, 2007 vintage. thanks to Glouglouburp for the bottle! pours hazy golden with whtie head. nose is grassy, lemon, spice, leather. flavors of sweet biscuit and alcohol initially but that evolves into a dry hay, leathery, spicey finish. lively carbonation. alcohol very well hidden. very drinkable and refreshing BSA. Thanks Dany!

(750ml bottle, 2007 vintage) Pours a lightly hazy golden body with a tall rocky dense off-white head with excellent webbed lacing. Aroma of mustiness, banana, orange peel, perfume, flora, and other herbal qualities. Flavor of herbal tea, orange peel, green peppercorn, and floral hops with a soft mouthfeel and bitter finish. Tasty!

Very fruity, yeasty aroma extremely attractive, you have to be careful on the pour, monsterous rocky head,so highly charged it literally bites the tongue, top notch fruity ,spicey malt and yeast flavors, alcohol a comfortable companion, some bitterness in the finish,as good a Belgian as I’ve ever had, would be rated higher if not for that carbonic bite. Thanks Kingpin, and thanks Glouplouburp for trading it to him

Bottle shared by moejuck: Pours a hazy gold with a big fluffy white head. Aroma, yeasty, bready notes, spices, some light fruits. Flavor, bready, highly carbonated, spices, light fruits, peppery, some slight floral hop notes. Pretty tasty, stuff. For something that resembled a triple, which usually isn’t a favorite style of mine, I really liked this one.
