Aroma of mustiness, banana, orange peel, perfume, flora, and other herbal qualities. Flavor of herbal tea, orange peel, green peppercorn, and floral hops with a soft mouthfeel and bitter finish. Tasty!
doubleo (652), San Diego, California, USA Jul 18, 2008 750ml, vintage 2007 from glouglouburp. Pretty damn good! Pours hazy dark yellow with a billowing, fluffy, white head, great retention, total sheet lace. Smells yeasty and bready with some spice notes and slight sweet fruit scents. Tastes similar to the way it smells. Bready and yeasty sweet, again some spiciness and a good bit of peach type stone fruit flavor. Medium body with crisp, vibrant carbonation, Beerman6686 (536), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 17, 2008 WOW! Aroma was or some spices, pepper, and some candy sugar. Flavor was very mellow, but in a good way. It combined the spicey flavor of a saison with a nice banana flavor of a tripel. If I were to order a Belgian, this is what I would want. DragonStout (1138), Orlando, Florida, USA Jul 12, 2008 Shared by Beerlando.Poured a golden color with a nice pillowy white head. The nose was hoppy with some citrus. Flavor was hoppy with a citrus zest and bananas. This finished off more bitter than it seemed in the flavor.Thanx Bryan. Miver (292), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 4, 2008 750ml bottle dated 2007. Poured slightly cloudy gold in color with a MASSIVE foamy white head that left very nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is very floral, fruity, with a little lemongrass. Taste is spicy, floral, with a little banana with a nice hop finish. Thanks to Dickinsonbeer for sharing this one. egajdzis (2879), Terrapin, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 28, 2008 Poured a hazy golden color with a large, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, orange peel, pine, a bit of toasted dough, citrus fruits, light ginger, and other seemingly Belgian spices. Taste of pine, orange peel, citrus fruits, simcoe, white pepper, a bit of grass, and a bitter, finish with some alcohol in there as well. Thanks Paul!
