Commercial Description:
Three separate hop additions plus being “dry hopped” during its conditioning stage provide this hearty pale ale with a distinctive bitterness, citrus flavor and aroma. Here’s an Anniversary you’ll not forget!

Tap. Unfiltered, hazy gold color. Aroma of lemon zest and citrus hops. Soapy flavor. Nice toasted grain flavors. Lots of hops. Pine and citrus. A bit stronger than the other brews of Charlie and Jake’s. I recommend this beer after trying all of the others. Finishes with a Cascade, soapy bubbles hop flavor.

Very tasty ale. On ocassion it can be a little off from previous tastings, but is always a good beer.

Draft at Charlie and Jakes. Amber in color with a pale white cap. The aroma is somewhat fruity yet crisp. It has a nice hop, citrusy yet smooth and malty. It has a clean crisp, clear finish.

(Rating #2264)

Grapefruit colour with white head and lace. C-aroma. Unfiltered version, with grapefruit taste. this is one of the two winner out of five at the brewpub. Served at room temperature, appropriate almost flat of Co2 like a cask, a good break from the other too cold ones.

Golden-amber colour. Woody, cascade hop nose is a touch faint. Earthy, woody bitterness, moderate maltiness (breadcrust) but it’s all a bit faint. Probably overattenuated.

Thanks to Degarth for reminding me I had this one. Nose is muted hops, sweet grains, perfume/floral notes and some light caramel malt. Light orange/yellow in appearance with a smallish white head, no retention and only very drippy lacing. Light to medium bodied, stays away from watery. Flavor is metallic all the way through, masking any good flavors that might be there. I finished my whole sample, so that’s something, and besides the metallic notes, it has no glaring flaws.

A gold pour with hints of amber. Light maltiness without much hops on the nose. Light carmelly mlat flavor with a very light hop finishing bitter. Thin and under carbonated even for me. Very average beer at best. Tastes like the first glass from a long stale line. I’m sure that is not it. Not a terrible beer but very average.
