Commercial Description:
Darker, richer and heavier than our regular mead, this is full-bodied and very flavorful.

Bottle. No head (still). Body is hazy medium yellow, unfiltered. Aroma is notes of honey, alcohol, flowers, minerals, lime zest, hint of wood. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic. Medium to full body, watery/syrupy texture, flat carbonation, lightly astringent. Like Sky River’s sweet mead, this is very wine-like (minerally, citrus zesty, floral). Quite nice. What it needs is a more tartness in the finish and more tannic grip...the aroma is attractive and clean, but I didn’t find myself wanting to drink much of it.

750 ml bottle from Liquid Solutions. Pours a crystal clear golden blonde. This is my first mead. Aroma is of sweet honey, strawberries and grapes. Taste is the same. It tastes like a sweet wine that combines grapes, stawberries, apples, and honey. Very nice and i am now a mead lover. Well done.

Very pale gold but has a nice glow that turns it from ehh to gorgeous. Winey aroma. Great fruity honey and a fresh scuppernong flavor. A bit of wood. Very tasty. I actually had to email the maker of this mead to make sure they didn't add any grapes of any kind because the fresh scuppernong/muscadine flavor was so strong. Delicious. Impressive mead.
