This is a pretty good deal for the price. You get two meads for one. It comes with two teabags filled with spices that you can add to your mead and steep like tea. A great winter warmer!
SInce this is a mead, the appearance is pretty standard. Yup, it looks like mead. The flavor is a bit off and needs aging but you can do this yourself. So far this is my favorite of the cheaper meads.

Jun 12, 2008 2006 bottle -- A very pale yellow body, not nearly as honey colored as I’d expected. Aroma is a slightly alcoholic honey, with almost minimal spice. Taste is again, about right... but without the honey accent that I’ve come to expect. Ending is perfect, smooth with a nice sweet accent.

Jun 4, 2008 This is not the worst mead that I ahev had, but it kind of disappointing compared to the ones I have had here in Alaska. Tastes massely produced, not fresh and clean, somewhat musty and stale, quite dry on the palate. Typical mead aromas, honey and cinnamon, oaky woody notes on the palate that remind me this is made by a winery and not a meadery. Blah

Apr 30, 2008 My first mead! Served chilled, without the mulling. Clear and straw colored. Leaves legs on the glass.
Aroma is very much like white wine, with vinous acidity. The honey and perfumey orange blossom is evident.
Flavor is extremely fruity, recalling overripe apricot and red apple. There’s an alcohol nip at the back of the palate but it’s quickly evened out by the dry, sweet honey. Probably too sweet overall to work as anything but a nightcap/dessert wine.
A little thin on the palate, mouthfeel is quite dry.

Apr 27, 2008 Updated: Jun 3, 2008750 ml bottle from BevMo: Clear pale yellow color like a chardonnay. Room temp: Aroma is sweet and fruity with a wiff of alcohol. Flavor is also fruity (apple, pear) with a honey sweetness and a light orangy finish. Medium body is smooth and creamy. Chilled is pretty much the same, but the aroma is kinda flowery. Mulled it has the aroma of the added spices (cinnamon, orange peel, clove). Flavor is apple-cinnamon sweet (like apple pie) with a light alcohol burn..
