sheatripper (809), Brooklyn, New York, USA May 21, 2008 From some of my notes--Draught at Brazen Head, designated as "Chelsea Spring Wheat." I’ve also seen something around named "April Showers and May Flowers." I’m assuming it’s the same thing here unless another entry is made. Cloudy amber pour. Slight spice and fruit in a wheaty malt aroma. Bready/biscuity malt flavors with some spice and citrus along with some herbal and floral notes. OK, nothing great. RblWthACoz (959), Brooklyn, New York, USA Sep 28, 2007 Off notes 4/2007. Pours a clouded amber with a huge amount of bubble rising up. Fragrance is a slight citric one. Flavor is pretty smooth and a light wheat taste, though not much to it. Feel has a regular amount of bubble on the tongue and a pretty hearty liquid feel. Drinkable and smooth, but it is a pretty light version of a wheat brew I say.
Gr0ve (1091), Oslo, Norway Jul 22, 2007 Draught at House of Brews, 51st. Cloudy copper reddish colour. Medium-sized head. Bready and a little raspberry. Head clings to the glass. Hints of raspbeery in the flavour. Quite dull. JoeMcPhee (3692), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Jun 9, 2007 Very cloudy, dark amber beer with a thick creamy white head. Very low aroma, a bit of wheat and doughy yeast. No real spice or malt complexity. A bit of low wheaty spice and dirty dishwater malts. Not worth a damn. Sammy (3073), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 5, 2007 On tap at the brewery. Aroma is funky. A few dots of lace on cloudy gold. Some wheat, unfiltered taste. Lots of malt. Carbonation bubbles rising. Moderate sourness. Sour was negative on palate. Medium mouthfeel.
