Black body with light chocolate head. Moderate chocolate graininess in the nose followed by moderate wave of coffee and chocolate flavors. Mild grainy sour chocolate finish.

Draft at Blind Tiger Ale House. Pours a deep, dark black, brown around the edges. Nose is rich, cocoa and coffee, chocolate covered malt and ash. Taste is rich and dry, roasted cocoa and rich. Full body. Excellent stout.

Draft. Pours near black with a tan head. The aroma has roasted malt, coffee, and just a hint of smoke. The flavor has roasted malt, a touch of coffee, dark chocolate and just a wisp of burnt malts. Quite good.

Draft. Smooth and sweet, I really thought maybe this was an oatmeal stout. Some roasty, coffee flavors, but a good bit of chocolate fills in the flavor profile. Smells clean but husky/grainy. Lovely pour. Good beer, easily drinkable.

on tap at brewery. very dark brown, frothy brown head. sweet and roasty aroma, with some musty leatherness or something. very smooth balanced flavor, sweet but well-balanced with the roastyness. a bit grainy all over, but definitely good.

smokey and acidy it is thick and satisfying. when it finally settles some there is a backround taste of malted barley with some herb, spice and burnt cocoa expression. powerful flavors of doom.

Definite barley and I recall some smokey flavours too. Big and thick, I recall it being listed as 10%, not the 7.3 it says here. I get a pint whenever I go.

Had it on tap at the brewery. Solid stout - not my favourite style so not much more to say about it.
