Rciesla (871), Brick City, New Jersey, USA Jun 15, 2008 Cask Hop Devil. Pours a light copper body with no head. Aroma is woody, citrus and pine. Flavor is that with a nice bitterness and earthy flavors . Okay. JoeMcPhee (3815), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Jan 1, 2008 Tap at Hop Devil Grill. Golden amber beer, massive, sticky tan head. Mice spicy/fruity hop aroma. A bit of woody/spicy resinous hops but also a fairly prominent citrus hop character. A touch of tropical fruit and a pithy orange/grapefruit character. Decent balance and a soft caramelly malt character. Earthy/dusty malt character. Nice pale ale. A little bit too sweet for my tastes, but it isn’t bad. egajdzis (3021), Terrapin, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 28, 2007 [Cask @ Pacific Standard] Poured a hazy golden orange color with a medium sized, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus fruits, toffee malts, vanilla, and floral hops. Taste of citrus fruits, almonds, light vanilla, and a dry, lightly bitter finish. Eyedrinkale (3111), Beer Town, New York, USA Dec 27, 2007 Updated: Dec 31, 2007Cask at Pacific Standard. Small head and an aroma of soaked Wheaties. Flavor makes me think this cask may not be so fresh. Easy drinking’ tho. Compelled to rerate after drinking on tap at HDG. Maverick34 (480), New York, USA Dec 27, 2007 Draft. One of the few good Chelsea brewing company brews that I have ever had. Pours a pale orange. Not overhopped and very drinkable.
