mmather (111), Colorado, USA Apr 27, 2008 On tap at the brewery and on tap from my own home (since it was my recipe and I helped brew it... :-) ) The unfiltered version of this was better IMO than the one available on tap at the brewpub as the cinnamon and allspice were also very evident as well as the ginger. It looks like the filtering took most of the cinnamon and allspice from this brew. Should have been basically gingerbread in a glass at a lower alcohol content (not really 6%, more like 4.5 or less if I recall correctly). FYI, Fred was my cat..... Gingerfred was a beer I homebrewed years ago and got to brew it there at the Cheshire Cat. Next time if it is going to be filtered I will ask to put more Cinnamon and Allspice in it..... ratman197 (2146), Arvada, Colorado, USA Jan 27, 2007 On tap @ Cheshire Cat poured a clear copper with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of light carmel and a hint of ginger. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of ginger and carmel with a crisp finish.
