Commercial Description:
The history of India pale ales date back to the 18th century when British troops occupied India. Beer was made in England and sent to the stationed troops. Pale ales were popular beers at the time and had to endure a six month journey to the distant country. Spoilage was common and one way to prevent the loss of beer was to add more hops to the existing recipe, which are an excellent natural preservative. The addition of more hops made pale ales stronger with a higher alcohol content. Basically, India Pale Ales are stronger over hopped versions of it's cousin, the Pale Ale. The style has grown very popular in this country over the years and can be found all around. Our IPA is more aggressive than most with a high hop aroma. The taste is a true hop bomb. The IPA appears somewhat cloudy because it is unfiltered, leaving every bit of flavor in the glass.

Several pints @ the 4 Queens. Pretty looking beer (or maybe it’s just due to the dearth of good beer in LV). Aroma is piney citrus and orange zest. Taste is initially fresh and nicely citric hop acidity with a smooth caramel note on the finish. As itwarms, it breaks down and gets a little funky, but all in all a nice brew and a bonus point for the location.

Pours a golden amber color. Thin white head with good retention and great lacing. Pine and citrus aromas. Flavor is grapefruit and pine. Very filling. Mouthfell is medium and a little on the dry side. Not the greatest IPA in the world, but great by Vegas standards.

pours golden and clear with a white head which leaves behind drippy rings of lacing. the nose is really floral... slightly waxy/resinous, grapefruit, pith and mildly sweet pale malt. the palate is lightly pale malty sweet mixed with flavors of grapefruit pith, lots of resinous pine, orange and a spicy dry finish. the medium body feels a bit harsh, dry and waxy. 6/3/6/3/12/3.0

Sampler @ 4 Queens, Vegas. pours amber/copper, white head. Aroma, good hops, but comes out with an aroma that had too much bad medical like smell. Taste, hops are just strong here, with a great pine forest character. Finish gives a lingering bitter mouthfeel that come sout being too spicy on the palate.

The brew that hit the palate was no where near the delightfullness that I expected. Sampled straight out of the brew pub at the vegas locaton, this beer has nothing more to offer than a name. Highly disengaged.

Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells of caramel, resiny. Tastes lightly bitter and resiny with a chewy caramel finish.

On tap in vegas 4 Queens on the Old Strip: Poured a hazy gold color. Smell is pine and citrus. Taste is sweet carmel and hops. A little dry going down, but still very refreshing. The best one they had on tap at the time. Little too pricey as well.
