Commercial Description:
Chicago Brewing Company's Daisy Chain Tripel is a highly sought after summertime special. We premiered this Belgian tripel near the end of summer 2002. The overwhelming reaction to Daisy Chain has convinced CBC to present this offering every year. Our tripel is a Belgian ale of considerable malt flavor, aroma, and alcohol content. Daisy Chain is golden in color and still contains the rare Trappist yeast used for primary fermentation. The hop addition, combined with the unique flavor and aroma of the yeast, create a subtle spice-like finish with a hint of pineapple on the tongue. Over 100 pounds of Belgian rock candy sugar were put into the boil. This helped increase the finishing alcohol content to 9.5% ABV. Serve in a stemmed goblet-style glass to release the wonderful aromas brought out by the carbonation in this brew.

GABF 2005. Straight golden with a fluffy white head. Banana, clove, and yeasty aroma. Alcohol, toffee, and banana flavor, weighing in heaviliy on the alcohol side. Dry, alcoholic finish, slightly sweet, with some black pepper spiciness. Decent.

Dirty yellow color with white head. Sweet taste maybe towards a cookie taste. Good triple but, not as good as others I have had. GABF find.

Slightly hazed yellow with a lacey halo-forming white head..very spicy, bananaish, and yeasty aroma with notes of spiced cookie...biscuity, yeasty flavors..cookie-like, but too spicy or just a bad yeast or something..I mean, its not bad, its just the yeast doesnt sit well with me..its got that spicy character i dont like..which is a reason i dont like many trippels. Other than that...its well made.

(Draft: 2004 Strong Ale Festival, Pizza Port in Carlsbad, CA. Day 2, Beer 8) Chicago Brewing Company is located in … Las Vegas!!? Huh? Well, it smells like a tripel, albeit, not an especially aromatic one. Candi sweetness, light spice, moderate bubblegum are all in the nose. The flavor is moderately sweet with some bubblegum and light spice. Lightly bitter as well. The palate has average viscosity, but I’ve had many tripels with a more substantial mouthfeel than this one. Pale golden color. Whitish head is bubbly, and maintains the thin layer for a bit, but eventually fades to a sheen. Some modest lace here and there. This is decent, but the flavor just seems a bit light and watered down. Come on guys, let loose!

Tasted at the 2004 Pizza Port Strong Ale Fest.. Light gold color. Small to medium head. Aroma is citrusy and fruity. A medium bodied triple. Malts are fruity and sweet. Apricots mostly. Smooth taste. Nicely balance. Clean finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Growler courtesy of MMM...Beer.Nice golden orange color, small white head that had a short life then faded to nothing. The aroma was malty, fruity, and some what spicy with a decent some what sweet side to it.The flavor was very nice,Light malt side with a heavy bannana and spice flavor coming through as well as a decent but not over powering alcohol.Fairly smooth feel in the mouth with a nice mild alcohol bite coming on at the end. With the fruit and spice making for a nice but mild after taste.Well worth trying again if i ever make it nevada one of these days. Many Thanks to MMM...Beer for sending me this hard to get brew.
