Commercial Description:
Golden Gunnar is a German style Pilsner aggressively hopped with the noble Czech Saaz and German Spalt varieties. The aroma additions, added at the end of the boil, were exclusively Czech Saaz. These hops help create the classic "pilsner" flavor and aroma enjoyed by so my beer drinkers around the world. A large percentage of pilsner barley malt incorporated into the recipe, along with two row pale barley, creates this beautiful golden color for this highly drinkable style. Golden Gunnar Pilsner was named after Head Brewer, Kyle Cormier's new born son, Maverik Gunnar Cormier, born February 2, 2005. ABV is 5.6%. Cheers to Maverik!

Las Vegas, Nevada - Golden Nugget on Draft. This beer has a hoppy aroma and flavor, probably too high for style. I’m not a hophead but i did enjoy the high hops with the bitterness snap with this beer.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of finely sized white colored bubbles that was mostly lasting and left behind a transparent uncarbonated straw yellow colored body. The weak aroma was malty and almost non-existant. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a malt hop palate that favored the hops. The flavor contained notes of malt and was very hoppy for a pilsener. A decent one but not one that I would consider buying again.

Faint hoppy aroma, but definitely hoppy as a pilsener, more than some English IPAs I’ve had. The flavor finishes badly though. Overall, okay, but not real great.

Golden straw color with good white head and lacing. Slight malt nose. Big earthy hop flavor and short bitter bite. Creamy texture and crisp finish. Good pilsner.
