Taste is much the same with sweet honey, and alcohol warmth in the finish. Never had a mead, but this is what I imagine it being like. All 13% is noticeable. Interesting, but not something you’ll want much of, I’m guessing. BeerandBlues2 (3216), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA

Aroma is average malt (bread, meal), light hops (herbs), average yeast (earth) with notes of banana and honey. Medium bodied, creamy texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness. dwyerpg (2537), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Apr 7, 2007 A little honey in the aroma. This tastes a little like an imitation of Samiclaus I guess. Very weird and lots of alcohol in it and not hidden. Drinkable, but only in small small amounts. Braudog (3767), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Sep 9, 2006 On tap at the brewpub, served in a tulip glass. I failed to ask more about the beer so I’m not sure what Kyle would classify this as. It had the character of a Belgian style ale, which I know Kyle likes to do ... but the name confused me I guess. It pours a rosy red with a strong sugary sense, almost Kool Aid-y. Robust and rich this is quite nice.
