Pour is brown - caramel with no head. Aroma of faint nuttiness and caramel sweetness. Taste has some typical brown ale qualities, but is a bit thin for my tastes. Quaff able, but forgettable. dark amber, thin off-white head, nice malt aroma with hints of chocolate, good malt flavor with bits of chocolate and carmel but no complexity, only a hint of hops or bitterness in the finish, a weak spot in the lineup, german stile lager - a dunkle?

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Oct 16, 2006 This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of finely sized off-white colored bubbles that was and left behind a transparent uncarbonated copper brown colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was malty and dough. The thin mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish malty aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of malt hops and brown malt. A decent one but not one that I would consider buying again. PorterPounder (3138), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Has a slightly murky, light brown appearance with a good sized off-white creamy head. Aroma is slightly nutty. Has a sweet, malty flavor with some subtle chocolate acents and subtle bitter notes polishing off the back end. Decently thick mouthfeel to this one.
