Commercial Description:
CBC’s medal winning old town brown is a German-style brown ale. This beer has a clean well rounded dark malt character which creates a mild chocolate aroma and flavor. Colder fermentation temperatures and long cellaring time makes our brown a truly smooth all round brew.

Clear maroon color. Sweet malty, cocoa aroma, with a hint of coffee. Taste is what is expected of browns with a nutty maltiness. Friendly, bland but with a mild light sticky sweetness to it. Decent.

16 oz. draft at the brewpub in the 4 Queens Casino - downtown Las Vegas. Pour is brown - caramel with no head. Aroma of faint nuttiness and caramel sweetness. Taste has some typical brown ale qualities, but is a bit thin for my tastes. Quaff able, but forgettable.

Sampler tray. Clear nut brown, a light palate, quite hoppy for a brown ale. Nice.

dark amber, thin off-white head, nice malt aroma with hints of chocolate, good malt flavor with bits of chocolate and carmel but no complexity, only a hint of hops or bitterness in the finish, a weak spot in the lineup, german stile lager - a dunkle?

This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of finely sized off-white colored bubbles that was and left behind a transparent uncarbonated copper brown colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was malty and dough. The thin mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish malty aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of malt hops and brown malt. A decent one but not one that I would consider buying again.

On tap at the brewpub in Vegas. Has a slightly murky, light brown appearance with a good sized off-white creamy head. Aroma is slightly nutty. Has a sweet, malty flavor with some subtle chocolate acents and subtle bitter notes polishing off the back end. Decently thick mouthfeel to this one.
