Name: Pale Rider
Date: 07/06/2004
Mode: Draft
Source: 4 Queens Casino

nice clear copper color with a whispy white head, sweet grapefruit aroma, lots of good hop flavor with just enough sweetness to keep it honest, grapefruit shows up late followed by a lingering bitter finish

good sweet grapefruit flavor from the start, a touch of resony pine character in the finish

(called Pale Rider at Four Queens) Clear apple juice body, some bubbles within, off-white head, nice lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, grapefruit, some pine. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, light pine, earthy. Medium, undercarbonated body.

Called Pale Rider at the brewery. Clear medium gold colored. Dry, bitter with a cloudy wheat or burlap flavor. Dry wood and charred fruit but not in a good way, think old cardboard and carrots. Has a fresh hop nose, somewhat resembling thje dry-hopped note of Alpha King, but still with the stale presence and so something I would not drink again.

Orange, with a thin white head. Big citrus hop aroma. Nice hop flavor, too - Kind of rough, fresh resiny hops. Decent smoky malt in the background. Remains nicely hopped to the finish.

Tap @ Reno Festival. Amber color with an off white head. Citrus, smooth, refreshing, malty, and a little grassy.

I had this playing cards in Vegas and it was called Pale Rider as well. Nice pale ale but not overly hoppy and more of a citrus flavour.

My beer was also called Pale Rider, available at the Cigar Bar in the Four Queens. West Coast style pale ale with heavy citrus flavor. Flavor has cascade hops written all over it.
